The Seewigtal
with is three lakes, one after another, is one of the most
visited places of the region. The first lake – the Bodensee is
only a 10 minute walk from the car park and ideal
for a stroll or if one is not so good at walking (something for
all ages). The second lake – to reach this you have to exert
yourself a bit. 1 hour upwards past the
waterfall and the Hans Wödelhut. (here, you can take a break
and tank some more strength). The third lake – only few make it
to this one with its peaceful and tranquil surroundings and a
small waterfall.
The Duisitzkarsee in Obertal near Schladming.
Along the foresters road or the old walking route is the easiest
way to reach the
lake 2 cosy mountain huts greet you on your arrival. A must is
to walk around
the lake. The beauty of this lake will then unfold itself to you
1.5 hours each way.
Many Alms....
are open in our area just waiting to serve you with our local
specialities – such as Steiererkäse, Steiererkrapfen,
Käsenocken etc."Steirerkäse",
At the Perneralm in Sattental you should ask Resi, our host, for
her very special cheese platter – a feast just to look at.
For those looking for Tranquillity
In Sattental to the Schladmingeralm and further to the
Schladminger Thörl
past a tree which holds a stone tight and on to the 3 small
lakes. Here there
is a peace and tranquillity which will touch you deep within.
The Riesachsee (lake Riesach) in Untertal near
Schladming
is reachable via two routes. On the foresters route or the steps
along the
waterfall. For those who cannot climb steps at a height of
40-50cm apart,
should use the foresters route. The steps lead you over ladders
and a
hanging bridge! A very spectacular and beautiful tour.
You should definitely walk to the other end of the lake once at
the top of the
waterfall – until you arrive at the Kotalm. An amazing view back
over the lake
which mirrors everything around, awaits you!
.
The Schwarzensee(black lake)
due to its easy to reach position and the mountain area and its
scenery, this is a very popular tour. One tip – at the sign ”Harmeralm”
turn off and walk along the lake to the waterfall.
A truly picturesque area. After the lake you could also go
further to the Putzentalalm. On the return, it is well worth
while taking a look at the atmospheric Chapel on
the lake side.
The Gasselhöhseen (Gassel lakes)
to be found on the Reiteralm and "a must" for many walkers. 5
lakes – one after the other spread over various levels. We will
give you tips if you wish as to what is the
best route to
go. The most well known photo impressions of the region have
been taken here.
My
personal Recommendation
Due to our good knowledge of the mountain region in our area we
can give you good tips You will be sure of finding the right
walks to fit your requirements. There is much much more that we
could recommend to you. Here is just a small taster. But, we do
